How ZakGT Daily Puzzle works

Every day at 00:00 UTC, ZakGT picks one car from a fixed list of well-known models — the same car for every player around the world, so results are comparable and spoiler-free by design. You get 3 text clues (era, origin, and one notable fact) that unlock one at a time as you guess wrong, and 6 guesses total to name the car.

Each guess turns into a coloured tile in your result: 🟩 green means you nailed the exact car, 🟨 yellow means your guess was the wrong car but the right category (for example, you guessed a different muscle car), and ⬛ black means no match. When you finish, copy your result grid and share it — it shows how you did without spoiling the answer for anyone who hasn’t played yet.

Your streak counts consecutive days you’ve solved the puzzle, tracked locally in your browser. Miss a day, or run out of guesses, and the streak resets to zero — that’s the whole game, and it’s 100% free, no signup required to play.

Do I need an account to play?

No. The puzzle runs entirely in your browser and your progress is saved locally. An account is only needed if you want your streak to follow you across devices.

Is today’s puzzle the same for everyone?

Yes. The day’s car is picked deterministically from today’s calendar date, so every visitor worldwide gets the exact same puzzle until the next UTC day begins.

Can I play a past puzzle?

Not yet — only today’s puzzle is available, which is what keeps the daily habit and shared results meaningful. An archive may come later.

What happens if I lose my streak?

It resets to zero and starts counting again from your next solved puzzle. Your best-ever streak is still shown separately so you always know your record.
