TL;DR

ZakGT is an independent software publisher based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We build free web tools (IP checker, JSON formatter, Speed Test, typing trainer, and more at zakgt.net/go), a desktop toolkit of 110+ apps, a live-commerce platform for fish/livestock auctions, and a unified licensing system under one coin economy — all designed for a global user base while being built out of a developing market.

Our Mission

Most developer tools are free in countries where a $10/month subscription is pocket change. In Cambodia, $10/month is a meaningful recurring cost, so entire product categories (screenshot tools, URL shorteners, typing trainers, video editors, JSON formatters) are gated behind paywalls that simply don't make sense for regional users.

ZakGT builds the same tools, makes them free at the browser (ad-supported where needed), and optionally offers higher-tier desktop versions under our own 1 Coin = 1 USD = 4000 KHR exchange. The goal: a developer or small-business owner in Cambodia, Thailand, the Philippines, or anywhere else shouldn't be priced out of the tools that make daily work faster.

Who Runs ZakGT

ZakGT is founded and operated by Saran Rithy Sak, a solo developer based in Phnom Penh. Every commit, every tool, every design decision goes through one person — which means we can ship fast, fix fast, and keep the product opinionated.

We use AI as a collaborator (AI-assisted pair programming, code review, and audits). All content on this site is original and reviewed by a human before publishing; we do not scrape, auto-generate marketing text, or re-publish third-party work.

  • URL Opener — bulk-open multiple URLs in new tabs with repeat/interval controls
  • Bidding — live auctions with anti-snipe, free 5th-bid shipping, gallery of past sales
  • Leaderboards — 7 public rankings (coins, online time, tool use, trust score, etc.)
  • ZakGT Host App — desktop toolkit with 110+ professional apps (Windows, free base install)

  • Backend: FastAPI (Python 3.10) on Google Cloud Run, PostgreSQL on Google Cloud SQL
  • Web: Next.js 14 on Vercel, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
  • Desktop: PySide6 + Nuitka-compiled native Windows binaries
  • Mobile: React Native + Expo (iOS/Android)
  • Storage: Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible, EU-friendly privacy)
  • Security: JWT + TOTP 2FA, HMAC request signing, Cloudflare Turnstile, bcrypt, AES-256-GCM via Google Cloud KMS
  • Payments: Stripe, PayPal, ABA Pay, KHQR (Cambodia local), plus our ZakGT Coin economy

How We Make Money

We're transparent about this so you can decide how comfortable you are:

  • Display ads (Google AdSense) on free tools like this page and our utilities, keeping the tools themselves free to use
  • Premium desktop licenses for select ZakGT Host tools (monthly / yearly / lifetime), paid in ZakGT Coins
  • Live-commerce transaction fees on bidding auctions (2 Coins to create a shop, small percentage per completed sale)
